I am a man, a husband, a father and work as a product manager most of the day. Also I'm a regular mentor within the G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers. The rest of the time I create poetry and images, in particular I do blurred and unsharp image I refer to as visual poetry.
My artistic intent is to reflect the world as I see it. The way I see the world is often not what many would expect. From the time I was eight years old, I have worn glasses. When I take them off everything changes. Clarity becomes blurred, representational images become impressions, and form loses both edge and contour and becomes suggestive. Colors melt, then blend into something that is more atmosphere than descriptive scene.
My visual poetry images have been inspired and influenced by two artistic movements: impressionism and abstract expressionism. They deliberately have an absent of scale and context as I want to invite the viewer to explore their own perceptions of reality.
I want to communicate through my images the beauty I see in the world, the moods I sense in others and feel myself, and the meaning I glean from the events of life as I interpret them with head, heart and eye.
You may find some of my work dark. Other pieces may give you a sense of joy. But whatever you see in my images or feel through my words, it is my hope that you also see before you one man, doing his best to share his inner truth.
