"With just one polka dot, nothing can be achieved. In the universe, there is the sun, the moon, the earth, and hundreds of millions of stars. All of us live in the unfathomable mystery and infinitude of the universe. Pursuing 'philosophy of the universe' through art under such circumstances has led me to what I call 'stereotypical repetition'." Yayoi Kusama
The circle is one of the primoridal forms humanity is using till the dawn of mankind. nlike the square and the triangle, which are other primoridal forms the circle is perfectly in symmetric.
In Japanese language the sign MARU stands for OK and Correct and it is used in most ship names.. .as the Japanes believe that ships complete a circle and return loved ones home safely.
Light is the primoridal element of photography and we humans can not live without light. but without the darkness the light won't be visible at all.
In this series of fully abstract photography I explore the journey of circles of light -represented as dot- travelleing the seas of darkness. In some images the circles travel alone, in other the circles cluster The circles seem to cluster to tribes or familys and collide with other tribes on their journey.
